Law No. 7253 has become known as the “Social Media Law” in society. Indeed! the amendments made in Law No. 7253 and Law No. 5651 have brought detailed provisions regarding social media regulations. With these amendments! obligations have been imposed on social media! as in many other countries! in terms of determining a representative and meeting the demands of our citizens. Due to the fact that social media provides the opportunity
to hide oneself through fake accounts! our citizens are subjected to harassment! slander! and assassinations on these networks! but they cannot find anyone to contact on social networks in our country. Many of our young people experience psychological problems due to being subjected to cyberbullying! and they are also driven to suicide due to the content not being removed despite their complaints! and thousands of entrepreneurs and artists whose intellectual and industrial rights are damaged through social networks are left without a solution in terms of protecting these rights.
